The CORE Project - Script Development Workshop

THE CORE PROJECT is an intensive workshop for writers, directors and actors (or any combination thereof) to develop new plays. Playwrights will receive a 1 on 1 consultation with the artistic director about their play. Then they will have 5 private sessions to work on developing their script and work with a director and actors to have their play read.

Plays from the CORE Project will be selected for the Play Reading Series and for development. Plays developed within the workshop will also be considered for production in the Strawberry One-Act Festival. Plays that are finalists in the festival go on to be published in The Best Plays From The Strawberry One-Act Festival series.

The CORE Project will be led by artistic director and producer Van Dirk Fisher. Enrollment is limited. Day time and evening time slots are available for each playwright enrolled in the CORE Project.

Early enrollment is $250 for Five (5) two hour sessions over Five (5) consecutive weeks, plus One (1) hour consultation on your script.

Enrollment after September 30th is $350.

The CORE Project will be held at our 2 locations:

NOHO: 419 Lafayette Street, 2nd Floor, between Astor Place & East 4th Street.
Trains: #6 to Astor Place and the R train to 8th Street.

TRIBECA: 12 Debrosses Street between Greenwich St. & Hudson Street.
Trains: #1, A,C,E to Canal Street.

Directors should submit a resume and letter of interest or intent and Actors may send their picture and resume by email to RiantTheatre@gmail.com or by mail to obtain an audition.
