The Riant Theatre will be holding auditions for Rock-A-My Soul In The Bosom Of Abraham, a rock/gospel musical at Champion Studios, 257 West 39th Street, 14th Floor, between 7th & 8th Avenue on Wednesday, May 7th 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.; Thurs May 8th 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Roles: All characters are southerners. Susan Smith: (age 20s), white, dramatic role (soprano/belt), Dan Smith: (age 20s), white, her ex-husband (lead, tenor/belt), Mrs. Lane: (age 40-55), white, Susan's mother (lead, soprano/belt), Bobby: (20-30), white, Susan's boyfriend, rugged, a womanizer; Taylor Cooper: (age 20-30) black, accused of carjacking (lead, lyric baritone/tenor); Mrs. Cooper: (age 50s) his mother (lead, belt soprano, gospel); Julie: (age 20s), Taylor's girlfriend, black, (lead, soprano/belt); Mr. & Mrs. Johnson: (age 40s) black, Julie's parents, (singers); Abraham Cooper: (age 30s) black, Cooper's step brother, an attorney, (lead, tenor, dramatic role); Reverend Boyd: (age 40s) black, baritone/belt; Chorus (singers).
