Why Was Nick Ashford Smiling?

Well he had just finished hearing the lovely Ms. Karen Page sing at his restaurant and bar SUGAR BAR on 72nd Street between Broadway and West End Avenue. Valerie Simpson was busy talking to a friend when Ms. Page took the stage, but after she heard her voice, she had to turn around and take notice, because a star was truly onstage! I hear Ms. Page will be bringing her cabaret act to the city later this year. I can't wait!

Karen Page brought down the house singing Over Joyed last night at Ashord & Simpson's SUGAR BAR. Also in attendance was Maya Angelo and of course Nick & Valerie. Karen will be going back in June, so if you want to catch her singing we'll keep you posted on when she'll be there.
